ABOUT PERMANENT MAKEUP
How is it different from Microblading?
Permanent makeup differs from microblading through technique and the use of a PMU machine.
The microblading technique uses a blade with ink and carves stokes into the skin while the PMU machine works similarly to a tattoo machine. The PMU machine implants color into the skin with a nano-sized needle.
The PMU machine is more accurate when it comes to skin depth. This allows less scarring and over - saturation leading to better and lasting results.
WHAT ARE THE STYLES?
The styles offered by Marielle are "Powder Brows" also commonly refered to as "Ombre Brows" and "Combination Brows."
Powder Brows - small pixels implanted into the skin, softening as they reach the center or the face giving a powdery and bold look.
Combination Brows - This technique combines the use of the powder technique and using strokes to similate hairs. This technique is bold but still natural and best for those who want to reconstruct their brows from over plucking or hair loss.
Both styles are suitable for all skin types and wear the best over time.
Unlike Microblading, annual touchups are recommended to keep the shape and colors sharp but permanent makeup typically lasts 2-4 years.
PROCESS EXPLAINED
Step 1: Consultation and Forms - desires for the outcome are explained by the client and explanations for the process are performed.
Step 2: Brow Mapping - Marielle will take accurate measurements and mapping to create the most flattering shape with client's approval.
Step 3: Numbing - The client will be numbed throughout the process but the strongest form is applied and left to sit for 20-25 minutes.
Step 3: Color Selection - Marielle will take a good look at the natural hair color and undertones of the client's skin, to determine the best color for their brows.
Step 3: Application - The "tattooing" begins, a secondary numbing solution is applied between each pass to ensure there is no pain during the process.
Finale: Photos & Aftercare - Photos are taken and aftercare instructions are explained. Each service includes an aftercare kit to ensure optimal healing.
